The above fees apply where the person to be interred is, or recently was, an inhabitant of the town of Downham Market or the parish of Downham West.   In all other cases the fees are doubled

Memorial Requirements

Grave Spaces - Headstones only - no kerbs - not more than 3’6” high and standing on a plinth not less than 36” x 18”

Cremated Remains - Upright area - headstones only - not more than 2’2” high on a plinth not less than 20” x 10” in turn on a slab 24” x 18”.

Cremated Remains - Flat tablet (central) area - the tablet to be of stone, not more than 12” x 12” and not less than 2” thick, laid horizontally flush with the ground.

No writing to be allowed on the back of stones apart from the stonemason’s name.

An indemnity form signed by the next of kin is required.
